Community Engagement & Special Projects Liaison in Miami, Florida at Agape Network Inc

Position Summary:

The Community Engagement & Special Projects Liaison will serve as a bridge between Agape and the board members, donors, volunteers, community leaders and organizations who want to support our mission.

This person will turn community interest and ideas into meaningful action—coordinating projects, maintaining relationships and ensuring great ideas are followed through from concept to completion.

Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:

• Follow up with community members and guests introduced to Agape through the Board and leadership, keeping them connected to initiatives, volunteer opportunities and ways to help.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, businesses, organizations, churches and other potential partners.
• Coordinate community-led workshops, trainings, classes and special projects.
• Plan and execute luncheons, tours, volunteer gatherings and special events.
• Develop creative new events and community initiatives and see them through from idea to execution.
• Organize and maintain the Agape Boutique while on site, ensuring it remains welcoming, organized and functional.
• Coordinate volunteers involved in community initiatives and special projects.
• Maintain an organized system for contacts, projects and follow-up.
• Support social media, marketing and communications surrounding community initiatives and events.
• Work closely with Agape leadership to ensure outside projects align with Agape’s needs and mission.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a doer and a connector, someone warm, polished, creative and exceptionally organized who enjoys bringing people together and making things happen.

The ideal candidate has strong skills in relationship building, event planning,

organization, community outreach, social media and marketing. Should be proactive,

resourceful, comfortable working independently and passionate about Agape’s mission.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Social Services, Business Administration, Community Development, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, nonprofit work, program coordination, public relations, event coordination, or a related area.
