AWS Developer in Brazil at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AWS Developer based in Brazil.

This role is focused on building scalable, cloud-native backend services and serverless applications on AWS. You will design, develop, deploy, and support services using Node.js, Java, Terraform, and event-driven architectures. The position combines application development with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, security, and observability. You will work extensively with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge. The role also involves supporting containerized applications in ROSA/OpenShift environments and ensuring reliable production operations. You will contribute to secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud solutions while collaborating on engineering standards and continuous improvement.

• Build and maintain Node.js and Java backend services and REST APIs on AWS.
• Design, develop, and support serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related cloud services.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules.
• Securely manage Terraform remote state and infrastructure configurations.
• Develop event-driven workflows and integrations using Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS.
• Integrate AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway into scalable application architectures.
• Deploy and support containerized applications running on ROSA/OpenShift.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Support automated testing, troubleshooting, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply appropriate IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configuration practices.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using modern observability practices.
• Participate in code reviews and assess application and infrastructure changes for reliability, scalability, and security.

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of software development and cloud engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including development of reusable modules and secure management of remote state.
• Extensive experience with AWS serverless services, particularly Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Strong backend development skills using Node.js and Java.
• Experience developing REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability practices.
• Solid understanding of IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configurations.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud-native application architecture and automated infrastructure deployment.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting production cloud applications.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Basic exposure to Generative AI or Amazon Bedrock is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement skills.

Benefits:

• Salary of $90,000–$110,000 per year.
