The Burlington County Bridge Commission is seeking a Deputy Executive Director

Job Title: Deputy Executive Director (non-union)

Department: Administration

Hours: Full-Time 40 Hours a Week

Available Shifts: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – Monday through Friday

Salary: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00

Position Purpose: The Deputy Executive Director provides high-level, confidential administrationdirectly related to the business operations of the Burlington County BridgeCommission and the Palmyra Cove Nature Park. The Deputy Executive Director reports to the Executive Director, and Acting Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director.


GeneralRequirements and Essential Functions

At the direction ofthe Executive Director or Acting Executive Director, directs office activities to maintain efficiency andcompliance with company policies.

1. Inconjunction with all Directors and Administration departments, providedirection to assess, support, and oversee the effective and efficientoperations and communications between the departments.

Providesupport and recommendations during contractnegotiations.

Mustbe always on call to provide assistance in emergency situations at any locationoperated by the Commission.

Consistentlyprovide timely updates and reports to the Executive Director or Acting Executive Director.

Maintainfiles in a confidential manner.

Ensurecompliance to all local and federal laws.

Mustbe able to perform all above essential duties in order to maximize efficiencyand safety at the Commission.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Proficient to advanced ability to use Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

d Proficient to advanced ability to use payroll and HRIS systems.

3. Must have exceptional verbal, written, and digital communication skillsas the position will communicate daily with Commission Directors and staff,outside vendors, and the public.

5. Must be able to maintain confidentiality concerning any and allCommission business and/or legal matters.

6. Ability to perform in an office environment, sit at a desk for prolongedperiods, and work on a computer.

7. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

8. If required, must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

9. Ability to lift at least 5 pounds

Minimum Qualifications

1. Minimum of seven (7) years high-level management experience.

2. Experience in local or county government or governmental services.

May be required to be certified,registered, or licensed in a specialty area.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited college or university.
