Position Summary


The Coordinator – Conveyor 2nd Shift supports daily conveyor and L04 operations by coordinating carton flow, wave prioritization, and operational communication between departments to ensure efficient processing throughout the distribution center. This role helps manage workflow between Conveyor, Packing, Pick & Pack, Bypass, and Shipping operations while supporting operational throughput, carton movement, and wave completion goals.

The Coordinator – L04 plays a critical role in monitoring conveyor performance, minimizing operational bottlenecks, supporting peak volume execution, and ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately in alignment with operational priorities and service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workflow between Conveyor, L04, Packing, Pick & Pack, Bypass, and Shipping operations.
  • Monitor wave progression and assist with prioritizing wave releases based on operational capacity and urgency.
  • Communicate operational priorities and workflow updates to supervisors, leads, and floor associates.
  • Monitor conveyor flow and carton movement to identify congestion, recirculation issues, or operational delays.
  • Escalate conveyor, diversion, or operational issues to leadership and support teams as needed.
  • Support the execution of priority, expedite, and cancel-risk customer orders.
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Routing teams to support dock flow and shipment readiness.
  • Track operational performance metrics including throughput, UPH, CPU, and wave completion status.
  • Assist with balancing workload between Conveyor and Bypass operations to support efficient processing.
  • Maintain awareness of operational staffing needs and communicate workflow concerns proactively.
  • Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and operational standards.
  • Support additional operational areas as needed during peak periods or operational surges.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, conveyor, or operational coordination environments preferred.
  • Basic understanding of conveyor systems, wave processing, and warehouse workflows.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or operational systems such as Blue Cherry preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with shifting operational priorities.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime during peak operational periods.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Prior experience supporting conveyor, sortation, or automated warehouse systems.
  • Experience coordinating operational workflow in high-volume distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of warehouse throughput metrics including UPH and CPU.
  • Experience supporting wave management or operational prioritization.
  • Prior leadership, coordinator, or team lead experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items—often 30–50 lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier depending on the role.
  • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods, sometimes for an entire shift.
  • Repetitive motions, such as reaching, pulling, pushing, and manual handling of products.
  • Operating or working around machinery and equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems (with appropriate training).
  • Tolerating varying environmental conditions, like hot, cold, or noisy warehouse spaces.
