This role is a senior customer-facing advisory position focused on helping enterprise organizations modernize their data ecosystems and accelerate AI adoption on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will guide clients through complex transformations involving data governance, analytics modernization, and AI enablement, ensuring their environments are secure, scalable, and business-ready. Acting as a trusted technical and strategic advisor, you will translate enterprise data challenges into actionable architecture and roadmap decisions. The role blends deep technical expertise with business strategy, requiring strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You will work across data platforms, governance frameworks, and AI solutions to ensure organizations unlock measurable value from their data investments. This position is ideal for someone passionate about shaping modern data architectures that power responsible and scalable AI.
- Advise enterprise customers on designing and modernizing governed data architectures using Azure Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and related Azure data services.
- Lead strategic workshops and advisory sessions covering data readiness for AI, including architecture assessments, governance maturity, and value-driven roadmaps.
- Define and implement data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data lineage, domain modeling, and data quality standards.
- Guide adoption of Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse architecture, real-time analytics pipelines, and integration with Power BI and Copilot capabilities.
- Support integration strategies between Databricks and the broader Azure ecosystem, enabling scalable machine learning and MLOps foundations.
- Advise on Azure AI Foundry implementation scenarios, ensuring alignment between data quality, governance, cost optimization, and AI performance.
- Promote secure, compliant, and responsible AI practices across the data and analytics lifecycle.
- Translate complex technical architectures into clear business value narratives for executive stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 7+ years in data architecture, analytics strategy, or data governance roles.
- Strong hands-on or advisory experience with Microsoft Azure data platform, including Fabric, Purview, Synapse, and related services.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience supporting data modernization initiatives, particularly in organizations adopting AI and advanced analytics solutions.
- Strong familiarity with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and modern lakehouse architectures.
- Knowledge of AI enablement concepts including model lifecycle readiness, AI observability, and responsible AI principles.
- Ability to design enterprise-scale data solutions aligned with security, compliance, and FinOps considerations.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging Cloud Adoption Frameworks or similar enterprise architecture methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.
- Preferred: experience in consulting or customer-facing advisory roles in large enterprise environments.
