POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Field Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations for water mitigation and/or mold remediation projects and field crews. This position ensures jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards, while maintaining strong communication with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations, including pre-production and work-in-progress job boards.
  • Ensure jobs are completed within established schedules and quality standards.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Respond to inquiries from insurance adjusters, homeowners, and property managers.
  • Drive projects forward by removing obstacles through clear communication with all parties.

Project Efficiency

  • Ensure jobs progress as planned and efficiently, including accurate use of internal project management tools.

Customer and Team Interaction

  • Lead communication on complex or sensitive jobs.
  • Resolve customer service issues, performance concerns, and execution challenges professionally.

Remediation Assessments and Reviews

  • Conduct remediation assessments as needed.
  • Ensure technicians secure 5-star reviews and follow up to address and improve lower ratings.

Fleet and Equipment Management

  • Manage truck loading and ensure teams are properly equipped for each project.
  • Partner with warehouse leadership on equipment repairs, inventory, and procurement.

Visual and Operational Standards

  • Ensure trucks and equipment are stocked, functioning correctly, and maintained.
  • Maintain technician professionalism and proper equipment use.

Training and Supervision

  • Train and supervise a high-performing team; conduct weekly training and safety meetings.
  • Manage overtime, scheduling, and approve sub-labor requests as needed.

Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Review operational dashboards/reports to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
  • Conduct weekly ride-alongs to inspect job sites and coach teams.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operational execution and improve efficiency.

Handling New Losses

  • Manage new loss jobs from start to finish during peak demand periods.

On-Call and Technology Utilization

  • Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime as required.
  • Utilize industry technology to improve efficiency (mobile apps, moisture management systems, etc.).

Estimation Duties

  • Produce remediation damage estimates and serve as a backup to in-home sales/estimating support.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma (required)
  • Experience: 5+ years in progressively responsible water damage restoration roles with strong project management and customer service experience
  • Certifications: IICRC WRT required; ASD and AMRT strongly preferred
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with restoration and reporting tools (e.g., MICA, DASH, Xactimate, Power BI or similar)
  • Other Requirements: Hands-on experience with moisture management systems and field equipment; ability to manage multiple projects; strong communication skills with clients, adjusters, and internal teams
