The Lending Contact Center Processor is responsible for processing direct lending packages received from the Lending Contact Center. Perform various support duties related to the Lending Contact Center lending function within the Credit Union.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Receive electronic and paper direct loan packages from branches or Lending Contact Center.
  2. Using the direct lending funding checklist, gather and verify the accuracy and completeness of loan package documents including, but not limited to:
  • Verify all the required documentation has been provided which includes the retail contract, credit application(s), purchase agreement, title application,
    invoice/JD Power valuation, insurance documentation, documentation for additional products purchased, EFCU Financial membership application,
    proper identification, and any other stipulations required by the underwriters.
  • Verify all signatures and initials are acquired.
  • Determine sufficiency of collateral according to published EFCU Financial Consumer Lending Procedures.
  • Verify debt-to-income ratio is within the Credit Union’s guidelines.
  • Calculate and verify loan-to-value and ancillary products are within the Credit Union’s guidelines.
  • Verify and calculate proof of income.

3. Be knowledgeable in fraud prevention and red flags.

4. Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations that are applicable to consumer lending.

5. Communicate with Lending Contact Center by portal, email, video, and/or phone to obtain missing documents for Lending Contact Center funding packages.

6. Present any loan package issues to the Assistant Vice President of Lending Contact Center or Chief Lending Officer for approval prior to funding.

7. Assist in servicing loans by processing such items as payoffs, refinances, and payment due date changes. Communicate requests for problem loan workout agreements, payment deferral agreements, and collateral swaps to appropriate team member(s).

8. Maintain a filing system and procedures to monitor required documentation is received and maintained appropriately and according to EFCU Financial’s Policies and Procedures.

9. Understand and apply new loan products and services in accordance with the Credit Union’s strategic plan.

10. Cross sell lending products and other Credit Union services when appropriate.

11. Assist in other assigned duties.

This position is a Pay Grade 6 - non-exempt starting hourly rate between $17.00 and $21.18 based on experience.

Requirements:

Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year to three years of lending or related experience in a bank and/or credit union.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State financial institution laws and regulations pertaining to deposit, loan, and electronic products and services.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to a competitive and rapidly changing financial service environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
