Aesculap, Inc., a B. Braun company, is part of a 180-year-old global organization focused on meeting the needs of an ever-changing healthcare community. Through close collaboration with its customers, Aesculap provides advanced technologies for general surgery, neurosurgery and closure technologies. Aesculap continues a proud heritage of leadership and responsiveness as we strive to deliver products and services that improve the quality of patients’ lives.
Position Overview:
We are hiring two Product Managers to support the Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery Division of Aesculap. These roles will serve as key business owners for assigned product portfolios and will be responsible for driving upstream and downstream marketing, identifying and executing go-to-market opportunities, owning clinical pathology strategy, and shaping future portfolio direction. The Product Managers will work cross-functionally with sales, medical affairs, clinical, regulatory, operations, and global partners to translate market needs into differentiated commercial and innovation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead North America upstream marketing activities for assigned product categories, including voice-of-customer research, market assessment, competitive analysis, unmet need identification, and definition of product requirements.
- Drive North America downstream marketing execution through positioning, messaging, sales enablement, launch planning, training support, promotional development, and demand generation initiatives.
- Identify and assess go-to-market opportunities across new product introductions, line extensions, procedural adoption strategies, customer segmentation, and channel expansion.
- Own clinical pathology strategy for assigned portfolios by developing deep expertise in disease states, procedural workflows, surgeon needs, treatment pathways, and evidence-based value propositions.
- Partner with clinical and medical stakeholders to support claims development, evidence generation priorities, key opinion leader engagement, and market education strategies.
- Develop and maintain annual business plans, product forecasts, pricing recommendations, and strategic growth plans aligned with division objectives.
- Collaborate with research and development, regulatory, quality, supply chain, finance, sales, and global marketing teams to ensure successful product development, launch readiness, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, competitive movements, and emerging technologies to inform future strategic views and portfolio roadmap recommendations.
- Support product lifecycle decisions including portfolio optimization, new opportunity evaluation, product line rationalization, and long-range innovation planning.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned portfolio and represent the business at customer meetings, sales meetings, surgeon labs, educational programs, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, strategic marketing, or commercial roles within medical devices, healthcare, or a related clinical field.
- Experience with both upstream and downstream marketing responsibilities, including new product development and commercial execution.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, market development, portfolio management, pricing, forecasting, and product lifecycle management.
- Ability to understand and translate clinical pathology, procedural workflows, and customer insights into actionable business and product strategies.
- Demonstrated success working in cross-functional environments and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Experience supporting products in surgical, laparoscopic, or minimally invasive procedure settings is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagement, field collaboration, procedural observation, and industry events.
- Preferred candidates will be located in the Center Valley, PA area. Considerations will be made for individuals outside the immediate geography.
Success Profile:
The ideal candidates are strategic, commercially minded marketers who can operate effectively across both innovation and execution. They bring a strong understanding of the clinical environment, can connect surgeon and customer insights to business opportunity, and are comfortable owning a portfolio from early concept through launch and lifecycle optimization. Success in these roles will require intellectual curiosity, cross-functional leadership, disciplined execution, and the ability to shape both near-term performance and long-term strategic growth for the division.
Role Structure:
These two Product Manager roles may be aligned to distinct product families, clinical applications, or growth initiatives within the Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery Division. While each role will have dedicated portfolio accountability, both positions are expected to operate within a shared strategic framework focused on market leadership, clinical relevance, differentiated value creation, and disciplined commercial execution.
Salary: $110-140k (plus bonus)
