VP- Sales (Fintech)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP – Sales (Fintech) in India.

This is a senior enterprise sales leadership role focused on driving high-impact revenue growth within the domestic payments ecosystem. You will be responsible for acquiring and expanding relationships with large enterprise merchants across key industries such as e-commerce, fintech, travel, edtech, and healthcare. The role requires strong expertise in fintech and payments, along with the ability to operate in complex, long-cycle B2B sales environments. You will engage directly with senior stakeholders and CXOs to build strategic partnerships and position advanced payment solutions in a highly competitive market. Working closely with product, operations, and technical teams, you will ensure smooth onboarding and successful client integration. This is a high-ownership role combining strategic selling, deal structuring, and market expansion in a fast-evolving fintech landscape.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive end-to-end enterprise sales for domestic payment gateway solutions, from lead generation and engagement to negotiation and closure.
  • Identify, target, and acquire high-value enterprise merchants across multiple sectors including e-commerce, fintech, travel, edtech, and healthcare.
  • Own and consistently deliver against MTU and GMV targets, ensuring sustained revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with enterprise clients and senior decision-makers.
  • Leverage CXO-level networks to generate new business opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with product, integration, operations, and risk teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful merchant go-lives.
  • Position the organization effectively against competitors in both domestic and cross-border payments segments.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales within fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong existing network and proven track record of selling to large enterprise merchants.
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems including UPI, credit/debit cards, payment gateways, and aggregators.
  • Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals with long and complex sales cycles.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at senior executive level.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to structure and close complex deals.
  • Preferred experience in cross-border payments, PSPs, payment aggregators, or fintech organizations.
  • Strong ability to work in a target-driven, high-performance sales environment.
