Job Description
The Critical Care Pharmacist supports direct patient care in the ICU as part of a multidisciplinary team and assist with inpatient pharmacy services. The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing medication orders, monitoring of patient medication therapy, antimicrobial stewardship, participation in code responses and serves as a clinical resource for providers, nursing staff, other allied health professionals and patients while promoting evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities also include areas of regulatory compliance, quality improvement, formulary management, practice advancement, process development and coordination of associated EHR optimizations.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to serve as a clinical educator and mentor for pharmacy staff, students, residents and other healthcare professionals.
REQUIREMENTS:
PharmB or MScPhm or PharmD
PGY-1 residency or two post-graduate practice yrs of direct patient care experience
Pharmacist License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
