The BDC Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and monitoring the dealership’s Internet sales team. This role oversees daily BDC operations, ensures consistent follow-up on leads, drives appointment setting and show rates, and aligns BDC performance with dealership sales objectives and customer experience standards. Essential Duties
- Lead, coach, and monitor daily performance of BDC sales representatives.
- Manage inbound and outbound lead activity including phone, email, text, and digital inquiries.
- Set expectations and track KPIs such as contact rate, appointment set rate, show rate, and sold rate.
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-up on all sales leads.
- Develop scripts, call strategies, and best practices to improve conversion.
- Assist with training and performance management of BDC staff.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and dealership leadership to align BDC and showroom processes.
- Review calls, messages, and performance reports to provide coaching and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, CRM standards, and customer communication guidelines.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous automotive BDC, internet sales, or sales leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, lead management, and digital sales processes.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and lead a sales-focused team.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze performance data and drive continuous improvement.
- Professional demeanor and customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, and weekends as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Able to successfully pass a background screening, drug test, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, as applicable.
