Job Description
Our Audio-Visual team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex AV solutions for our clients. As a Senior Technician with Bosch Building Technologies, you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, analyzing, and implementing installation plans from our Design, Sales, and Project Management Team.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the bill of materials (BOM), and be capable ofmaking adjustmentsor finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial installations including hospitals, airports, corporate offices, and casinos to name just a few.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and servicing of cabling infrastructure, audio/visual systems, and presentation technologies, including pre-wiring, equipment installation, termination, testing, labeling, troubleshooting, reporting, and commissioning in accordance with specifications and drawings.
- Assist commissioning as necessary of controls through the use of Crestron Toolbox, Extron Toolbelt, and Tesira software.
- Configure device IDs, IP addresses, and system settings, while maintaining accurate programming records and project documentation.
- Build equipment racks and maintain a high standard of cable management and workmanship.
- Read and interpret system schematics, construction drawings, and project documentation.
- Organize and maintain efficiency with onsite activities and project goals while providing leadership and technical guidance to the project team.
- Load program files, update firmware, and perform system verification and testing.
- Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and incident reporting requirements are followed.
- Provide project updates to Project Managers and complete all required project documentation.
- You may be required to be on call before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 Plus years of experience in a technical role within the audio visual industry.
- Maintain a valid Washington Electrical Trainee Card (if not yet EL06 certified) as a condition of and throughout employment until certification is obtained
- Once obtained Maintain a valid Washington EL06 license as a condition of employment
- Complete all required continuing education and license renewals to keep credentials active
- Notify the company immediately if a trainee card or EL06 license expires, is suspended, or is revoked
- Meet the company's established timeline for obtaining EL06 certification after becoming eligible to take the examination.
- Employees are expected to obtain their EL06 within 3 months after becoming eligible to sit for the exam, unless an extension is approved for business or personal reasons.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Progressiveexperience installing and maintaining complex Audio-Visual systems in a commercial environment.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
- Valid Drivers License and clean abstract.
- Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the hospitality, healthcare, and/or post-secondary industries.
- CTS, CTS-I, Extron,Biamp, Crestron, Q-SYS, Poly and other certifications.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m.
Working Conditions

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
Additional Information:
- Compensation:$45.00 - $60.00/hour (DOE)
- Working Hours:This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
