Job Description
The business developer is a professional who identifies, evaluates and pursues new opportunities for business growth with existing & new clients. The business developer also builds and maintains relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the customer base, and generate revenue growth. The business developer works closely with the marketing and operations teams to create and execute acquisition strategies that align with the company's vision and goals. A business developer may work across different industries, sectors, and markets, depending on the goals and needs of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Research and analyze the market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Generate leads and prospects through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online platforms.
- Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve the companys short-term and long-term objectives.
- Develop and present pitches and presentations to potential and existing clients..
- Coordinate and support the development of proposals and contracts with potential and existing clients.
- Coordinate and support the closing of deals that create value for both parties and meet the company's objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, and providing them with regular feedback and support.
- Coordinate, plan and manage client engagement activities.
- Providing regular communications to leadership and operations teams on client changes and client opinions of company performance.
- Collaborate with the leadership, marketing, and operations teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services that meet the customer expectations and satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the business development activities and initiatives, and reporting the results and insights to leadership.
- Staying updated on the industry trends, best practices, and innovations, and attending relevant events, conferences, and workshops.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of the industry and the market, and the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, negotiation, and presentation skills, and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and partners.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented, and driven by challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction, engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and other relevant tools.
- Flexibility for significant travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, training, and events.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
- Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials
