Job Description

Description:

Trans Lease is building an Account Development Team to extend our reach into customer segments that our Business Development Managers cannot economically serve on a regular cadence. This is an entry-level sales position designed as an opportunity to build and grow in the position and in the company. Inside Account Managers who perform have a defined path to outside BDM roles, arriving there already knowing our products, our portfolio, and our customers.

This role is designed with a 2–3 year horizon before promotion to outside BDM, contingent on performance and regional openings. You won’t just be learning a phone script — you’ll be learning the business, building real customer relationships, and positioning yourself to step into the field with a warm book already in hand.

WE OFFER A FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE FOR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES INCLUDING:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Life (Voluntary and Employer Paid) and Disability Insurance
  • 401(K) with company match beginning with your first contribution.
  • HSA and/or FSA, as applicable
  • Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Company Paid Holidays
  • Employee Car Discount Program

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work a rolling 120-day maturity list, proactively contacting customers with maturing leases and loans to introduce rewrite and replacement options.
  • Re-engage former customers in good standing who no longer have active paper with Trans Lease.
  • Make systematic outreach to active small-fleet customers who haven’t had recent BDM contact service touches that surface real opportunities.
  • Research and introduce Trans Lease to new prospect segments: small and regional truck dealers, specialty body and upfitter companies, niche markets, and industries with high fleet replacement cycles.
  • Qualify opportunities and hand off to regional BDMs for field follow-up and closing.
  • Close residual rewrites on smaller accounts independently within your authorization threshold.
  • Log every interaction same-day in CRM with a next action noted — 100% compliance, non-negotiable.

WHAT YOU WON'T DO:

  • Handle deal paperwork, funding coordination, or vendor management on behalf of BDMs.
  • Cold-call accounts that are flagged as active BDM relationships.
  • Unilaterally close deals above your authorization threshold.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Internal employee, recent graduate or candidate for a structured sales development program.
  • Comfortable with consistent outbound calling — you can work a maturity list or a lapsed account list and turn contacts into real conversations, not just completed dials.
  • Organized and disciplined — CRM logging and pipeline hygiene aren’t optional for you.
  • Competitive but collaborative — you understand that your success is measured by what you surface for the team, not just what you close yourself.
  • Interested in commercial lending, fleet, or equipment finance (experience a plus, not required).

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (MONTHLY):

  • 150+ dials, 40+ live contacts
  • 8–12 qualified opportunities identified and passed to BDMs or closed independently
  • 20–30+ residual rewrites closed
  • 10+ win-back contacts on lapsed accounts
  • 5+ new prospect introductions logged and handed to BDM
Requirements:

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Requires frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and proficient with all Microsoft applications.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt to the changing market.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Type: Salary
  • Compensation Range: $60,000 + Commission
  • Bonus Eligibility: Yes
  • Reports To: National Sales Manager
  • Closing Date: When Filled
