The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Third Year Pipefitter Apprentice to join our team for an upcoming outage.

Approximate start date: August 17

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret complex piping drawings, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Perform independent assembly, layout, and installation of piping systems and components.
  • Execute precise bolt-up of flanges and provide critical support during hydro and pneumatic testing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to 1st and 2nd-year apprentices on-site.
  • Identify potential hazards and lead safety discussions or toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure all work complies with OCL quality standards and industry codes.


Education/Skills/Qualifications

  • Registered as a 3rd Year Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter.
  • Previous industrial construction experience (mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial) preferred.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, CSTS-2020 (or equivalent)
  • Standard First Aid is an asset.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
  • Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and ability to pass pre-employment requirements.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
