About Us

The Study Coordinator (SC) will support the implementation of the AI-CARE (AI-enabled Communication to Advance Research Engagement) study, a federally funded, community-engaged research project focused on improving research communication, trust, and engagement through AI-enabled tools.

The SC will be responsible for coordinating regulatory submissions, participant recruitment and enrollment, study procedures including data collection, data management, and other operational tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with investigators, community partners, and research participants across multiple phases of a complex study.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare and submit IRB applications, amendments, and continuing reviews
  • Maintain regulatory documentation and ensure compliance with institutional and federal guidelines
  • Implement informed consent processes and documentation

Participant Recruitment and Enrollment

  • Coordinate and oversee implementation of participant recruitment and enrollment activities in accordance with the study protocol.
  • Coordinate community-engaged recruitment strategies in collaboration with community partners and advisory boards
  • Track recruitment, retention, and enrollment metrics

Study Coordination

  • Coordinate and implement study activities across multiple phases, including:
    • Training sessions (AI literacy, prompt engineering, co-design)
    • Co-creation workshops and focus groups
    • Survey administration and follow-up assessments
    • Randomized and blinded study procedures
  • Schedule and manage participant visits and study-related activities
  • Ensure adherence to study timelines and protocol requirements

Data Collection and Management

  • Administer and track surveys using REDCap or similar platforms
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and secure study records and databases
  • Enter data, monitor data quality, and support data cleaning and preparation

Community Engagement

  • Coordinate activities with Community Advisory Board (CAB) members
  • Support community-engaged research efforts and ensure culturally appropriate implementation
  • Assist with facilitation and documentation of co-creation sessions
  • Facilitate MOU’s and MOA’s with Community Based Organizations
  • Track community engagement activities and events using centralized tools and processes.
  • Manage community participant payment processes and communication

Team Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate team meetings
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and minutes
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and action items

Research Support

  • Assist with qualitative and quantitative research activities
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other dissemination materials

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of study objectives


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, social sciences, or related field
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in clinical or community-based research (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Knowledge of human subjects’ research and IRB processes
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with community-engaged or participatory research
  • Familiarity with REDCap or other data management systems
  • Interest in AI, health communication, or implementation science

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Minimum Salary Range:
USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range:
USD $63,000.00/Yr.
