Position Overview

DMA Industries is seeking a motivated and experienced Inbound Supervisor to lead our receiving operations within our Distribution Center.

This role is responsible for Overseeing all inbound freight activities, including receiving, unloading, quality inspections, inventory reconciliation, staging, and put-away of imported containers, domestic vendor shipments, and intercompany transfers.

The Inbound Supervisor leads a team of Quality Control Inspectors and Material Handling Associates while ensuring all inbound shipments are processed accurately, safely, and on schedule.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting customer order fulfillment.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching teams, solving problems, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise all daily inbound receiving operations.

• Manage the unloading, inspection, staging, and put-away of inbound freight.

• Verify shipments against manifests and investigate shortages, overages, or damaged goods.

• Maintain and update the Master Receiving Schedule.

• Ensure compliance with all receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Supervise and coach Quality Control Inspectors and Material Handling Associates.

• Coordinate staffing and daily labor assignments to meet operational demands.

• Monitor department productivity and report KPI performance.

• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Warehouse leadership.

• Maintain organized receiving documentation and records.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Promote a culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse receiving, shipping, or distribution experience
  • Previous supervisory experience leading teams of 3–10 employees
  • Experience working in fast-paced warehouse or distribution environments
  • Strong computer skills including:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Email
    • ERP/Warehouse Management Systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with inventory control and receiving reconciliation
  • KPI reporting and operational metrics
  • Lean or continuous improvement mindset
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to coach and develop employees

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (assistance required for heavier items)
