Overview
The successful candidate is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing multiple component projects within the machine shop. They will ensure they are completed successfully within budget and on time to customer needs. They will manage resources, track progress, communicate with all stakeholders across multiple trades, and resolve issues to achieve project goals.
The candidate will develop project plans, define the overall scope of work remaining, set intermediate goals, identify long lead items, critical material holdups and drive resolutions to all of these potential delays. They will help oversee the execution of the project plans and help manage the resources and track progress.
This role will be the liaison between the on floor supervision, planning, the General Foreman and the Manager. The Manufacturing Rep will monitor the project progress, identify potential risks to schedule dates and develop plans to resolve the issues to get the schedule back to track to goal delivery. They will provide weekly updates to the project status. The candidate will lead and motivate project teams, assign tasks and ensure collaboration among the trades. They will manage project budgets, tracking cost and suggesting adjustments when needed to management. This position will be responsible to oversee and initiate project meetings as required. Additionally this position will assist in the management of the capital projects throughout the machine shop in project management often working with vendors to obtain updated quotes and meeting project milestones.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a machine shop environment
- Candidate must be willing to work all shifts and overtime
- Experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
Preferred:
- Degree in Mechanical Design, or related degree, Accounting or Finance
- Background in business planning, work execution, and customer relations
