Job Summary
Friday Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Production Support Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Black Mountain, NC
This position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by receiving incoming materials, performing inspections, staging parts for production, assisting with shipping, and maintaining accurate inventory. The ideal candidate has warehouse or manufacturing experience, enjoys staying organized, and works well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities
Receiving & Material Handling
Receive and unload incoming shipments.
Verify quantities, part numbers, and packing slips against purchase orders.
Inspect incoming materials for quality and report damage or incorrect items.
Label and organize incoming inventory.
Enter receiving transactions into the ERP system.

Production Support
Pull, stage, and deliver materials for production work orders.
Ensure production kits are complete before scheduled builds.
Monitor inventory shortages and communicate material needs.
Maintain organized staging areas and efficient material flow.
Support production by ensuring materials is available when needed.

Shipping Support
Assist with building crates for finished equipment.
Package products to ensure safe transportation.
Move finished equipment to shipping areas.
Prepare materials and equipment for shipment.

Inventory Control
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
Maintain accurate inventory records and locations.
Support inventory replenishment and discrepancy resolution.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, receiving, shipping, or material handling preferred.
Experience performing incoming inspections is a plus.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Basic computer skills and ERP experience (SAP experience is a plus).
Ability to read work orders, purchase orders, and packing slips.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
Safely operate material handling equipment.
Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
