As a Staff Software Engineer, QE, you will lead quality engineering initiatives that enable teams to build and deliver reliable, scalable software with confidence. This senior technical role focuses on designing advanced automation frameworks, improving testing strategies, and embedding quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and platform teams to define quality standards, optimize release processes, and solve complex testing challenges. • Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable test automation frameworks across UI, API, and GraphQL layers, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and efficient execution.
• Define and drive comprehensive quality strategies that improve testing coverage, release confidence, and engineering productivity.
• Design and implement AI evaluation frameworks to assess the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of AI-powered product features.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, code generation, and engineering workflows.
• Develop and optimize performance testing strategies, monitoring solutions, and quality analytics platforms.
• Build reporting frameworks that provide visibility into test coverage, quality metrics, flaky tests, and release health.
• Improve CI/CD testing pipelines by optimizing execution speed, reliability, and developer feedback cycles.
• Partner with engineering teams to promote shift-left testing practices and establish quality ownership throughout the development process.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical production issues and implement long-term improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure software designs include strong testability and quality considerations.
• Mentor Quality Engineering team members by sharing best practices in automation, testing frameworks, and emerging AI-powered tools.
• Drive adoption of modern testing technologies and continuously improve quality engineering practices across the organization.

• 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, or similar senior technical role.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript testing and modern frontend ecosystems such as React, Webpack, or related technologies.
• Advanced experience with browser automation frameworks including Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver for end-to-end testing.
• Strong knowledge of unit and component testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or React Testing Library.
• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling test automation frameworks from the ground up or significantly enhancing existing solutions.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD systems including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite, GitLab, or similar platforms, with experience integrating and optimizing automated test suites.
• Hands-on experience testing GraphQL APIs, including integration testing, schema mocking, and query/mutation validation.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as k6, Lighthouse, or Artillery.
• Familiarity with visual regression testing tools such as Percy, Chromatic, or Playwright visual comparison capabilities.
• Experience with test reporting and analytics platforms such as Allure or similar solutions.
• Understanding of AI/ML-powered products and testing challenges related to non-deterministic outputs, data quality, and model evaluation.
• Experience working with SaaS, fintech, market intelligence, or other complex technology platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude to improve testing and engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM evaluation frameworks and experience building or configuring MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
