Content Strategist, Knowledge Architecture

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Content Strategist, Knowledge Architecture based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of enterprise knowledge management within a technology-driven environment focused on improving access to critical information.
The Content Strategist, Knowledge Architecture will define the structural foundation of a scalable, AI-ready knowledge ecosystem supporting a broad portfolio of digital products.
This position combines content strategy, information architecture, and cross-functional collaboration to create organized, reusable, and discoverable knowledge experiences.
The ideal candidate will help transform complex information into structured resources that serve both human users and AI-powered solutions.
Working closely with product, engineering, UX, support, and content teams, this role will influence how knowledge is created, managed, and delivered at scale.

Accountabilities:

The Content Strategist, Knowledge Architecture will establish the frameworks, structures, and standards required to build a unified knowledge ecosystem. This role will focus on creating scalable content models, improving discoverability, and enabling effective knowledge delivery across products and platforms.

  • Define and maintain content models, including content types, metadata fields, relationships, and reuse strategies.
  • Develop taxonomy, tagging frameworks, and information structures that improve content discoverability and accessibility.
  • Design knowledge architectures that support AI-powered experiences, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), content chunking, metadata strategies, and semantic relationships.
  • Create scalable information architecture systems across multiple products, audiences, and delivery channels.
  • Establish standards for modular, component-based content creation and content reuse.
  • Partner with Product, UX, Engineering, Support, Accessibility, and other teams to align content structures with product experiences and user workflows.
  • Translate business and product requirements into structured content solutions and architecture recommendations.
  • Collaborate with content engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of content models and governance standards.
  • Serve as a connection point between strategic planning, content governance, and execution teams.
  • Support the continuous improvement of knowledge management practices and processes.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a content strategy professional with experience building structured knowledge systems and improving information experiences within complex product environments. The successful candidate combines strategic thinking, technical understanding, and strong collaboration skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in content strategy, information architecture, knowledge management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in SaaS, software, or product-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, organize, and scale content across complex product ecosystems.
  • Experience with structured content systems, knowledge bases, or component-based content platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with taxonomy, metadata, content modeling frameworks, and information governance principles.
  • Understanding of content strategies supporting AI-driven search, automation, or knowledge retrieval experiences.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex information structures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 10%, for team meetings, training sessions, customer engagements, or company events.
