ETL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes that support enterprise data integration and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with data warehouses, relational databases, ETL tools, and SQL, with a strong understanding of data quality and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows to extract data from multiple source systems.
  • Develop data transformation logic to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Load transformed data into data warehouses, data lakes, or operational databases.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and resolve performance issues.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to gather data requirements.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
  • Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data mappings.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Support production deployments and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Optimize ETL processes for scalability and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ETL development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, Talend, IBM DataStage, or Pentaho.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas.
  • Experience with data integration, data migration, and data validation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
