Generative AI Engineer in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Generative AI Engineer based in India.

This role is focused on designing and developing cutting-edge generative AI solutions, including intelligent AI agents and LLM-powered applications, for real-world enterprise use cases. You will work on building scalable AI systems that combine traditional machine learning with modern generative AI architectures. The position involves hands-on development across the full AI lifecycle, from research and experimentation to production deployment and optimization. You will contribute to solution design, prompt engineering, and integration of LLM-based systems into enterprise platforms. This is a highly technical role requiring strong engineering depth, problem-solving ability, and familiarity with modern AI frameworks. You will collaborate in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment where AI is at the core of product development. The role is ideal for someone passionate about building applied AI systems that deliver measurable impact.

• Research, design, and develop generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications and intelligent AI agents.
• Build and optimize end-to-end machine learning and deep learning pipelines for production-grade systems.
• Design and implement prompt engineering strategies for LLMs, including agentic workflows and reasoning systems.
• Develop Python-based utilities, API integrations, and backend components to support AI applications.
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to build scalable AI agent ecosystems.
• Implement and fine-tune models using OpenAI, Llama/Llama2, Azure OpenAI, and other foundation models.
• Apply ML techniques including NLP, embeddings, vector databases, and transformer-based architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design AI-driven solutions such as NLQ-to-SQL and other enterprise use cases.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 2+ years in traditional machine learning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based AI systems.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and NLP libraries.
• Strong experience with prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and LLM-based system design.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases, and embedding models.
• Experience working with transformer architectures and large-scale AI model deployment.
• Strong analytical thinking, solution design capability, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including experience in client-facing or stakeholder-facing roles.
• Experience in domains such as finance, healthcare, or insurance is a plus.
