Team Kalo has grown its ownership of Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant franchises to 68 stores located across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Its goal is to reach 75 units by the end of 2024. In 2022 Kalo expanded to two brands welcoming Slim Chickens to the Kalo Companies portfolio. Opening the first location in Tallahassee on Monroe St. Slim Chickens has expanded and grown to include two locations in Tallahassee and five additional across the panhandle of Florida.

Team Kalo, which employs almost 1000 people, owns and operates each of its locations and through its management company, Kalo Restaurant Group, LLC (KRG), provides the management, operational and administrative support for all of its locations. Team Kalo is building on its past success and expanding its own footprint throughout the southeast.

About the Role:

As a Crew Member in the Accommodation and Food Services industry, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers with their orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work environment, and supporting team members to achieve operational efficiency. This role requires adaptability to fast-paced settings and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards. You will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact the reputation and success of the establishment by providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash register operations.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and cleaning.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Prepare and serve menu items according to company standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
  • Adhere to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations consistently.
  • Assist in stocking supplies and inventory management as needed.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.

Skills:

The required communication skills enable you to interact effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring clear understanding and positive engagement. Basic math and cash handling skills are essential for processing orders and payments accurately, which supports smooth daily operations. Physical stamina and attention to cleanliness help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
