Job Description

SUMMARY: The General Manager/ VP will plan, develop and establish business policies and objectives for the organization. Coordinates plant or company functions, operations, and establish responsibilities and procedures for obtaining set objectives. Directs and coordinates formulation of financial programs to provide funding for new and/or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments, and to consistently increase productivity and sales. Plans and develops labor needs and requirements. Creates public relations policies designed to improve company’s image and status amongst employees, customers, and suppliers. Review activity reports, production statistics, stated goals, objectives, and financial statements to determine progress in accordance with the company’s current conditions and status. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the business, to plan, develop and implement revenue growth strategies for the organization.
  • Lead site sales initiatives to achieve bookings objectives as outlined in the budget.
  • Lead and execute site communication strategies.
  • Creating and managing budgets, works to ensure that the facility’s financial goals are met, including monthly profitability and EBITDA targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop human capital, including implementation of the company’s values and behaviors to ensure a culture consistent with the company’s plan and achieve growth targets.
  • Coach and develop staff to build top performing, highly performing teams; promotes cross training to optimize workforce, ensures functional coverage, reduce labor costs, and supports succession planning.
  • Analyze financial data, such as a P&L, to drive strategic decision making, continuous improvement, and financial performance.
  • Lead cross functional team to achieve customer satisfaction through On-Time Delivery Performance and by maintaining quality standards for all departments.
  • Responsible for the NPI and Engineering efforts for new designs, including customer visits, interaction and project leadership.
  • Lead and ensure compliance all environmental, health and safety protocols are followed across the organization.
  • Visit and host customer meetings and participate in trade shows as required by the business.
  • Assures that the company follows all established and new compliance guidelines, policies and documentation are current, and facility is compliant with customer audit requirements.
  • Champion and monitor continuous improvement objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities to include; interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and

disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Possess broad knowledge of a discipline such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, behavior science, finance, or business administration. Equal to a complete 4 year college or university education
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a related field

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
