This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Sales and Contracts based in India.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced sales professional to drive business growth across Eastern and Central India within the industrial and clean energy sectors. The role combines commercial strategy, key account management, contract execution, and customer relationship management to deliver sustainable revenue growth. You will lead the entire customer lifecycle—from identifying new business opportunities to securing contracts, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring successful payment collection. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help strengthen market presence while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position is ideal for a commercially driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about advancing innovative industrial and energy solutions.
- Own the complete commercial lifecycle for the assigned region, including prospecting, lead generation, opportunity qualification, contract negotiation, project delivery support, and cash collection.
- Develop and execute both long-term strategic sales plans and annual operating plans to achieve regional revenue and growth objectives.
- Build and implement effective Key Account Management strategies to strengthen customer relationships and maximize long-term business opportunities.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the regional customer base by promoting innovative industrial and energy solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Services, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution and outstanding customer satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Represent the organization professionally with customers and stakeholders while strengthening brand presence across the assigned territory.
- Drive commercial performance through strong leadership, customer focus, and effective cross-functional coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification is preferred.
- 12–15 years of professional experience, including at least 6–8 years in a leadership role within Sales or Business Development.
- Proven experience in solution selling of capital equipment or industrial products such as pumps, filters, valves, pressure vessels, compressors, or similar technologies.
- Industry experience within petrochemicals, oil & gas, chemicals, fertilizers, process industries, or related industrial sectors is highly desirable.
- Exposure to the renewable energy sector is considered a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sales planning, key account management, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Customer-centric mindset, commercial acumen, and a results-driven approach with a strong sense of accountability.
