As a Python Engineer, you will contribute to the development of high-performance backend applications that support advanced genomic analysis and precision healthcare technologies. Working within a collaborative, distributed engineering team, you will design and enhance scalable web platforms, APIs, and backend services used by researchers and healthcare professionals worldwide. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and server-side logic using Python and Django technologies.
• Enhance and support core web platforms, APIs, and backend services while ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and domain experts to deliver high-quality end-to-end features.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, operational support, and shared on-call responsibilities when required.
• Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and functional testing while following software engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned features from design through implementation, testing, and delivery.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework in production environments.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, backend architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, with experience using MariaDB considered a strong advantage.
• Experience implementing unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure software quality.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Collaborative, adaptable mindset with a willingness to work across multiple technologies and responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Ansible, Bootstrap, React, or similar technologies is considered a plus.
• Interest in bioinformatics, genomics, or healthcare technology is highly valued.
