Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to manage inventory and spare parts activities across seven biogas facilities and a centralized warehouse operation. This role will be responsible for inventory accuracy, routine audits, spare parts replenishment, warehouse vendor coordination, off-site spares management, logistics coordination, and spare parts preservation requirements. The successful candidate will support facility reliability by ensuring critical materials and spare parts are available, properly maintained, accurately tracked, and strategically stocked to support safe and reliable biogas operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory operations across seven operating biogas facilities and a central warehouse, including on-site and off-site spare parts.
- Perform routine inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory verification to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and supply chain teams to identify material needs, replenishment requirements, and critical spare part priorities.
- Order or coordinate replenishment of parts, materials, and equipment removed from inventory to maintain appropriate stocking levels.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with the company’s warehousing vendor, including inventory storage, reporting, receiving, shipping, material handling, and issue resolution.
- Support the maintenance and supply chain teams in managing vendor performance, warehouse service levels, storage requirements, cost control, and process improvements.
- Coordinate off-site storage of critical spares and ensure inventory records accurately reflect part numbers, quantities, storage locations, condition, and ownership.
- Coordinate off-site repairs of equipment removed from operations and subsequent return to capital spares.
- Lead or support efforts to identify, evaluate, and acquire additional warehouse space as business needs, spare part volumes, and facility support requirements evolve.
- Develop and maintain a reliability-focused spare parts strategy, including stocking recommendations, criticality assessments, obsolete part review, and min/max inventory levels.
- Coordinate spare part logistics between facilities, warehouse locations, vendors, repair shops, and field teams to support maintenance execution and outage response.
- Ensure required inspection, preservation, rotation, testing, preventative maintenance, and documentation activities are completed for spare parts while in storage.
- Support CMMS, ERP, or inventory management system activities, including material master data quality, item descriptions, warehouse locations, and inventory reporting.
- Develop and improve warehouse procedures, spare parts standards, inventory control processes, and logistics workflows.
- Track inventory performance metrics and recommend improvements related to inventory accuracy, critical spares availability, slow-moving parts, and stockout prevention.
- Maintain compliance with company safety, environmental, operational, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent industrial inventory experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, inventory management, supply chain, maintenance planning, logistics, or reliability support experience.
- Experience managing industrial spare parts inventories across multiple sites or operating locations.
- Experience working with third-party warehouse, logistics, or material handling vendors.
- Working knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, and material replenishment processes.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment documentation, bills of materials, spare parts lists, vendor manuals, purchase history, and technical part descriptions.
- Experience supporting maintenance and reliability programs through critical spare parts planning and inventory optimization.
- Experience with CMMS, ERP, or inventory management systems
- Strong organizational, communication, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 35% to company facilities, warehouse locations, vendors, and project sites.
Preferred Skills:
- Biogas, renewable natural gas (RNG), wastewater, utilities, food processing, industrial manufacturing, or process industry experience.
- Experience developing warehouse layouts, storage plans, inventory governance, or standard operating procedures.
- Experience with spare part preservation programs, including motors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, electrical components, rotating equipment, and long-lead-time critical spares.
- Experience with eMaint CMMs
Work Environment:
This role will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Manger and work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, site leadership, and third-party warehouse vendors. This Role will have a strong maintenance and reliability focus due to the importance of spare parts availability, preservation, and logistics in supporting facility uptime.
