Beacon Health System is hiring Imaging Technologists (X-Ray, CT, MRI, etc) for varying shifts and schedules in Kalamazoo. We’re proud to offer premium pay rates, up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates, along with opportunities to grow and thrive as part of a mission-driven team.

About Beacon Kalamazoo
Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women’s health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratory therapy and rehabilitation therapy services.​

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and professional standards.
  • Prepares and positions patients appropriately while selecting accurate technical factors to produce high-quality images.
  • Administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitors patients during imaging procedures and reports any abnormal findings or patient concerns.
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment while following established safety, quality, and infection prevention guidelines.
  • Collaborates with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support quality patient care.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to radiation safety and regulatory requirements as applicable to the imaging modality.

Required Qualifications

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree, Technical degree, completion of an accredited imaging program, or applicable job-specific experience required.
  • Current certification, registration, and/or licensure in an imaging specialty as required by the position and applicable state regulations.
  • Ability to safely operate imaging equipment and provide exceptional patient care.
