Job Description
Full-time | $80,000–$100,000 base (based on experience) + quarterly performance bonus | Reports directly to the CEO
We’ll be honest with you up front. Most marketing jobs are vague. “Support brand initiatives.” “Drive engagement.” Nobody can tell you what winning looks like, so nobody ever knows if you’re doing a good job.
This is not that job.
At FineTurf, you’ll know exactly what winning looks like, because we’ll build the scoreboard together in your first 90 days — lead targets, cost per lead, revenue goals, review ratings. Then the marketing engine is yours. You hit the numbers, you get paid more. Simple.
If reading makes you nervous, this isn’t your role. If it makes you lean in — keep going.
What you’ll actually ownNot “assist with.” Not “support.” Own.
- The lead engine. Build and run our seasonal marketing calendar — paid search, Meta ads, SEO, LLM, AEO, LSA, email, print. Run campaigns yourself or manage our agency partners and hold them accountable. Your call — play to your strengths and use agencies to cover the gaps.
- The revenue number. Marketing-sourced revenue is your metric. You’ll build the plan, own the budget, and adjust in real time based on what the data tells you.
- The reputation. Our Google reviews, our brand, our online presence — you’re the guardian of all of it.
- The relationship with sales. You and our Sales Manager will build a lead handoff system that actually works, so good leads never die in someone’s inbox.
You’ll present your numbers to the CEO weekly. That’s not micromanagement — it’s access. No layers between you and the person who can say yes.
How you’ll get paid- $80,000–$100,000 base salary depending on experience, paid weekly
- Quarterly performance bonus tied to a Weighted Lead Score — a system that rewards you for generating leads that actually close, not vanity metrics. Beat your target and the bonus scales up to 150%.
- 401(k) with 3% match
- Medical insurance (60% of your premium covered)
- Paid holidays and PTO
And here’s the part most companies skip: your first 90 days have no performance targets. You’ll onboard, learn our business, build your systems, and set your own targets collaboratively with the CEO. Full accountability starts January 1 — after you’ve had time to set yourself up to win.
Requirements: You’re probably a fit if…- You have 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience — Google Ads, Meta, SEO, email — and you can talk specifics: your cost per lead, your conversion rates, what you’d do differently
- You’ve managed agencies and know the difference between a partner and a vendor collecting checks
- You’re fluent in the stack: Google Analytics, WordPress, Facebook/Meta Ads Manager, Google Business Profile, and you know how to track leads from first click to closed sale
- You’ve built and managed a budget and treated it like it was your own money
- Home services or local services marketing experience is a big plus — but if you can generate leads, we can teach you turf
- You want a big team to hide behind
- You prefer “brand awareness” conversations to revenue conversations
- Being measured makes you uncomfortable
- You need someone to tell you what to do every morning
FineTurf is a growing lawn care company built on five values we actually use — they’re in our hiring decisions, our reviews, and our daily operations:
Extreme Ownership. Stronger Together. Discipline. Growth-Obsessed. Lead by Example.
We’re not a corporate marketing department. You’ll occasionally be on job sites shooting content, at community events, and close enough to the work to see the direct line between your campaigns and trucks in driveways.
How to applySend us your resume — and skip the generic cover letter. Instead, tell us:
- The best marketing result you’ve ever produced — with real numbers
- One thing you’d investigate first if you were handed our marketing tomorrow
That’s it. If those two answers are strong, we’ll be in touch fast.
