JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist engineers with day-to-day electrical engineering layout design, CAD libraries, part creation and maintenance, and testing of electrical systems used on TOMCO systems product offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with engineering on design and testing of electrical systems used on TOMCO product offerings.
- Work with cross-functional teams in the planning and design of new engineered products to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.
- Familiar with AutoCAD/Inventor, or similar CAD package for the creation of wiring diagrams and schematics
- Generate and maintain component CAD libraries
- Generate and maintain bills of materials from schematics
- Work with manufacturing engineering to check and finalize designs for production
- Work closely with engineers, and multiple cross functional departments as required to facilitate job duties.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR ABILITIES:
- Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor or a similar CAD package.
- Familiarity with electrical design principles and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to engineering projects.
