Job Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh (Oakland campus) invites applications for a part‑time Instructor position for the Fall 2026 semester, with the appointment beginning on August 15, 2026. The position is for one semester, with the possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities include teaching one, two, or three undergraduate courses per semester, typically in College Algebra, Precalculus, and/or Business Calculus or Calculus. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required prior to the start of the appointment. Applicants should be qualified to teach undergraduate mathematics courses at the level of College Algebra, Precalculus, Business Calculus, and Calculus. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is expected.
