Cardiac Diagnostic Technician I

Cardiac Diagnostic Technician - SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for obtaining non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing including, but not limited to, impedance cardiography, electrocardiograms, and holter monitoring under the supervision of the Cardiac Diagnostics Coordinator and Cardiopulmonary Director. Responsible and accountable for downloading and transmitting diagnostic data into patient electronic medical records

Cardiac Diagnostic Technician - JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Education: High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certification (“CRC”) certificate. If interested in obtaining CRC register as a Job Seeker at www.ARJobLink.Arkansas.gov.

Experience: Previous experience in cardiac diagnostic testing (EKG’s and Holters) preferred, but not required. Willing to train individual with desire and initiative to learn.

Certification: Must maintain current BLS certification.

Other: Basic computer skills required.

Cardiac Diagnostic Technician - Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Spend 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift patients with assistance 125 lbs or more multiple times per shift. Must be able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
