Job Description
The Operations Center has an opening for a 60% FTE (24 hours/week) Program Services Specialist.
The Program Services Specialist provides administrative and clerical support for performer contracting, scheduling, and program coordination. This position is responsible for processing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating logistical details to support efficient and accurate program operations across the district.

- Coordinate and administer performer contracts and related documentation for branch and district programs, ensuring completeness, routing, approvals, compliance, and record maintenance. Review, process, and maintain contract and payment documentation in accordance with established procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist with performer scheduling and provide administrative support related to program logistics, scheduling communications, and required documentation.
- Support performer onboarding and compliance processes, including background check administration, required forms, and administrative coordination.
- Maintain and update performer records, files, evaluations, schedules and related program documentation.
- Provide administrative and clerical support for districtwide programming operations, including routine reporting, workflow support, and records management.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of procedures and work processes; recommend and support workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- May participate in cross-functional committees and participate in branch or department meetings and discussions that further the library’s mission and goals.
- Keep informed of current administrative, clerical, records management, and office operation practices by attending training, workshops, educational programs, and reviewing relevant materials and resources.
Education & Experience Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.
Associate’s degree or equivalent.
One to three years of related work experience, with customer service and clerical or administrative support experience.

- Wednesdays: OFF
- Thursdays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Fridays: OFF
- Saturdays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
The pay grade (Pay Grade AD) for this position spans from $24.21 per hour to $36.31 per hour. Compensation for this position is negotiated by AFSCME for their members as part of the collective bargaining process. We have an excellent benefit package. FVRLibraries covers 90-95% of full-time employees’ health insurance premium cost and 90-100% of dental insurance premium costs. In addition we provide employees with Life Insurance, AD&D and Long-Term Disability Insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees have the ability to enroll in additional, voluntary life insurance, income protection plans, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts. Our employees enjoy 13 paid holidays throughout the year. Full time employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave per month. The initial vacation leave accrual is 11 hours per month; this increases over time based on years of employment. We also offer other types of paid time off for situations such as jury duty, bereavement leave, inclement weather and more.
