Accounting Manager in Kennesaw, Georgia at PM Security Solutions Inc

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Manager role based in Kennesaw, GA. The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, including managing the general ledger, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. The role includes preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, monitoring fixed assets, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accounting Manager will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls, coordinate with internal and external auditors, and provide financial insights to leadership for decision-making. The position may also involve supervising accounting staff, optimizing accounting procedures, and contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with financial statements and journal entries (accounting).
• Solid finance knowledge with the ability to connect operational activities to financial outcomes.
• Experience managing and tracking fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide recommendations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in an accounting or finance leadership role, including supervising or mentoring team members.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in small to mid-sized business environments
2. Security or Construction industry experience preferred
