Are you experienced in obtaining psychiatric and behavioral health referrals and building high-impact community partnerships?
Innovations Community Mental Health Center is a full-service outpatient behavioral health provider serving children through geriatric populations across Texas via telehealth and throughout the DFW Metroplex in person. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, person-centered psychiatric and therapeutic care that supports healing, recovery, and long-term stability.
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development & Marketing Representative with direct experience generating psychiatric and behavioral health referrals. This is a primarily field-based role focused on building strategic referral networks and increasing census across our programs.
This opportunity may be structured as W2 or contract-based compensation, depending on experience and performance alignment.
What You’ll Do
Build, nurture, and expand psychiatric referral partnerships with:
- Primary care physicians and specialty practices
- Hospitals and emergency departments
- Inpatient psychiatric units and discharge planners
- PHP/IOP programs
- Schools and school counselors
- Social service agencies
- Criminal justice entities
- Managed care organizations
- Employers and EAP programs
Actively obtain and manage behavioral health referrals through in-person outreach, structured presentations, and strategic networking.
Represent Innovations at community events, healthcare meetings, and professional forums.
Educate referral sources on levels of care, intake criteria, payer acceptance, turnaround times, and clinical capabilities.
Collaborate with intake and clinical leadership to ensure smooth onboarding and timely admissions.
Track referral trends, conversion rates, and outreach metrics to support growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience obtaining psychiatric or behavioral health referrals
- Prior experience in outpatient behavioral health, hospital behavioral health, PHP/IOP, discharge planning, or similar setting
- Established referral relationships within the mental health ecosystem strongly preferred
- Understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care referral processes
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
Must have reliable transportation for consistent community outreach.
