JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are seeking a Jr. Xpression Systems Manager. This individual will work primarily with Ross Xpression, as well as other motion graphics applications. This role will focus on operating on game nights and programming high-quality, in-game motion elements, animations, and graphics. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual who can help position the Utah Jazz and the Utah Mammoth at the forefront of in-game presentation quality. This position requires critical thinking and creativity to create an in-game experience that is captivating, entertaining, and ever-evolving. This role will work closely with the Xpression Systems and Content Manager and Creative Services department and split attention evenly across hockey and basketball. This position will have a dual report to the Director of Game Presentation and Production for Utah Jazz and the Utah Mammoth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure collaboration, creation, implementation, and operation of graphics, animations, statistical information, and CG effects on digital signs and activations for the Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth, and various Delta Center events.
  • Work closely with the Creative Services and Brand departments to implement and create visually appealing assets that represent each team’s brand and ensure brand integrity.
  • Management of Xpression content on all relevant platforms.
  • Assist revenue departments with sponsorship fulfillment requests and activations.
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with all external stakeholders.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience with Ross Xpression to design, build, implement, and operate - this includes an in-depth understanding of its coding language.
  • 1+ years of experience using Adobe After Effects.
  • 1+ years of experience using Adobe Photoshop.
  • 1+ years of experience using Adobe Premiere preferred.
  • Create and manage customized dashboard systems.
  • Must have a creative eye for detail and a passion for creativity.
  • Must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience within the professional or collegiate sports industry preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Due to the nature of this role’s event and gameday work, the employee must live within the greater Salt Lake City area upon the date of hire and throughout the duration of employment.
  • While game day staff will assist in the execution of Xpression assets on game nights, this position is required to attend a select number of Utah Mammoth and Utah Jazz home games.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to travel quickly in-arena distances traversing multiple floors/levels.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
