Director, Account Management Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Account Management Lead based in the United States.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic account management performance across a portfolio of enterprise clients in the commerce and retail media ecosystem. You will lead and scale a high-performing team of Account Managers who serve as trusted advisors to major brand partners, ensuring they maximize value from advanced commerce and advertising technology solutions. The role combines people leadership, strategic consulting, and revenue ownership, with direct accountability for retention, expansion, and long-term client success. You will act as a key executive partner to clients, helping shape data-driven eCommerce strategies and unlock growth opportunities across complex digital retail environments. Sitting at the intersection of analytics, client success, and commercial growth, you will influence both internal strategy and external customer outcomes. The environment is fast-paced, highly analytical, and deeply collaborative, requiring strong executive presence and commercial acumen. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Account Managers responsible for enterprise client relationships, ensuring strong customer satisfaction, platform adoption, retention, and revenue growth across a high-value portfolio.
  • Own strategic account planning and execution, including forecasting, retention planning, and expansion strategies aligned with long-term revenue objectives.
  • Act as a senior strategic advisor to enterprise clients, guiding eCommerce and retail media strategies through data-driven insights and performance optimization recommendations.
  • Analyze client performance data to identify growth opportunities, improve campaign effectiveness, and deliver actionable insights that drive measurable ROI improvements.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, expanding platform usage and increasing long-term customer value.
  • Lead executive business reviews and presentations, influencing senior stakeholders and securing alignment on growth strategies and investment decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment on client needs and roadmap priorities.
  • Oversee performance management, pipeline rigor, and reporting accuracy across the account management function, ensuring consistent execution against KPIs and revenue targets.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, Consulting, or Revenue-focused roles, including leadership of teams and ownership of enterprise revenue targets.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large enterprise client portfolios with measurable impact on retention and expansion revenue.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into strategic, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience operating in eCommerce, retail media, digital advertising, or SaaS environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in executive stakeholder management, including presenting to C-level audiences and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue targets, forecasting, and performance KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills with the ability to scale high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
