Job Description
WHO WE ARE:
Palisociety is a society of unique hotels and residences — Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali, ARRIVE by Palisociety, and a growing collection of independently branded properties. Since our first hotel opened in Los Angeles in 2009, we've grown into a nationwide portfolio of neighborhood-centric hotels, restaurants, bars, and event spaces, earning recognition from Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, the New York Times, and more.
We consider our employees our greatest asset: structured training from day one, consistent feedback, and a clear path for growth. We develop our leaders from within, because the strongest hospitality companies are the ones that grow their own.
ABOUT ARRIVE AUSTIN:
Located in the heart of East Austin, ARRIVE Austin is the perfect neighborhood hotel for guests looking for a blend of modern luxury, local authenticity, and friendly hospitality. With meticulously designed rooms and three distinct dining outlets, ARRIVE Austin welcomes travelers and locals alike.
POSITION PROFILE:
The Front Desk Manager is the face of ARRIVE Austin's daily guest experience — overseeing Front Desk Agents and Night Auditors, stepping in as Manager on Duty, and keeping the property running at the standard our guests expect. You'll coach and motivate the team while handling whatever the day brings, reporting directly to the General Manager.
THE TASK AT HAND:
Oversee Front Desk Agents and Night Auditors — hold regular team meetings, coach, and motivate.
Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, and service standards.
Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery procedures.
Serve as Manager on Duty in the GM's absence, making decisions in the hotel's best interest.
Partner with the GM on improvement actions, cost savings, and vendor/supply management.
Support training, scheduling, and payroll for the team, including timecard approval.
Supervise on-property team members during shifts, owning accountability for guest issues.
Respond to audits and drive continual improvement across the department.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Required
Minimum 2 year of supervisory experience in a luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel.
Experience with Opera or a similar property management system.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent judgment and prioritization.
Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physical
Standing, walking, and occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs throughout the shift, including periods of up to 4 hours.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
Competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k).
Paid time off, holiday pay, and sick pay.
Career advancement and professional development as we open new hotels and restaurants nationwide.
Employee discounts across our entire portfolio (25 hotels and more to come!).
MORE ABOUT US:
We're a family business, founded in Los Angeles by Avi Brosh in 1998. As we keep growing and opening new hotels and restaurants, we're always looking for spirited, hardworking, passionate people who want to join our team and grow with us!
