This role sits at the core of enterprise security strategy, shaping how large-scale technology systems are designed, secured, and governed across a complex banking environment. You will define and guide security architecture standards that span cloud, on-premises infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies. Acting as a senior technical authority, you will partner closely with IT leadership, engineering teams, and risk stakeholders to ensure secure-by-design principles are embedded across all initiatives. The role combines deep technical architecture expertise with strong influence across cross-functional teams to drive security decisions at scale. You will also contribute to threat modeling, risk assessment, and governance activities that protect critical systems and customer data. This is a high-impact position for a seasoned architect who thrives at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and enterprise transformation.
In this role, you will define, guide, and govern enterprise security architecture standards while ensuring secure implementation across technology initiatives and platforms.
- Lead the design and governance of enterprise security architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with IT leadership and engineering teams to influence technical decisions, architecture strategies, and security standards
- Define security requirements for new systems, applications, and infrastructure initiatives
- Serve as a subject matter expert in security architecture, advising on best practices, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies
- Participate in threat modeling activities and evaluate risks across systems, applications, and infrastructure changes
- Conduct or support risk assessments to evaluate control effectiveness and impact of proposed changes
- Engage in governance, audit, and regulatory activities, providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders
- Research emerging security technologies and contribute recommendations for adoption and implementation
- Promote architecture best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the enterprise security function
The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise architecture experience with strong expertise in security, infrastructure, and cloud technologies, along with the ability to influence across large organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of IT experience, including exposure across multiple technology domains such as cloud, infrastructure, hosting, or enterprise systems
- Strong background in enterprise architecture, systems design, and information security principles
- Experience working with cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS), microservices, integrations, and modern software architectures
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and threat modeling methodologies
- Ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional groups
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience operating in large, complex, and highly regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies is a plus
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and translate them into secure architecture decisions
- Competitive base salary range of $96,500 – $207,500 USD annually
