Duties & Responsibilities:
Work up and room patients, assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care in a pediatric setting including, but not limited to, vitals capture, immunization and other injection administration, and breathing treatments. Ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. Respond to patient calls and route / handle appropriately per physician orders. Process lab, radiology and referral requests per physician orders. Experience in pediatrics preferred.
Qualifications:
LPN
- Must be a licensed LPN in the state of SC
Staff Nurse
- Must be a licensed RN in the state of SC
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.
- CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
