Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join an innovative outpatient behavioral health practice specializing in ketamine and esketamine therapies for treatment-resistant mental health conditions. This physician will serve as a clinical leader and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
This opportunity is ideal for psychiatrists interested in psychedelic medicine, research, and helping expand access to emerging psychiatric treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for patients receiving ketamine and esketamine therapy.
Administer and oversee ketamine/esketamine treatments and determine individualized dosing.
Evaluate medical clearances and manage higher-risk patients to ensure treatment safety.
Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and support staff to provide integrated care.
Coordinate treatment plans with referring providers and outside clinicians.
Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and clinical team members.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and educational opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Active Maryland medical license.
Active DEA registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ketamine or esketamine treatments.
Leadership or supervisory experience.
Interest in psychedelic medicine and innovative treatment approaches.
Academic, research, or publication experience.
