Job Description

Director, Marketing Strategy; Capital Solutions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Marketing Strategy; Capital Solutions based in United States.

This is a senior strategic marketing role focused on shaping how capital solutions are positioned and adopted across the clean energy finance ecosystem. You will define how sophisticated capital providers—including banks, funds, corporates, and institutional investors—understand and engage with a modern capital platform. The role sits at the intersection of marketing, product, and commercial strategy, requiring strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You will translate complex financial and market dynamics into clear, compelling narratives that drive adoption and commercial outcomes. Working in a fast-scaling, mission-driven environment, you will help shape how capital flows into critical energy infrastructure. This position is ideal for a strategist who thrives in ambiguity, understands financial markets deeply, and enjoys building category-defining positioning. Your work will directly influence market perception and business growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Own go-to-market strategy for capital solutions, defining positioning, segmentation, and launch narratives in partnership with product and commercial teams.
  • Develop clear, differentiated messaging and value propositions tailored to institutional capital providers.
  • Serve as the internal expert on capital providers, translating investor behaviors, constraints, and decision-making processes into strategy.
  • Synthesize market signals, customer insights, and competitive dynamics into actionable strategic direction.
  • Build and deliver enablement materials such as pitch decks, battlecards, and training to support commercial success.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, product, and commercial teams to ensure consistent positioning and execution.
  • Influence senior leaders and hold accountability for strategic clarity across capital-facing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, marketing strategy, or related strategic roles, ideally within high-growth or startup environments.
  • Strong professional background in financial services, with direct exposure to institutional investors or capital markets.
  • Deep understanding of how banks, funds, corporate finance teams, and other capital providers evaluate and deploy capital.
  • Proven ability to define strategy, make decisions, and lead positioning rather than solely execute plans.
  • Experience translating complex financial or technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated success building enablement tools that improve sales effectiveness and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with the ability to turn complex inputs into clear strategic direction.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $200,000+, plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Equity participation in a high-growth, venture-backed organization.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including medical plans with full employee premium coverage and partial dependent support.
  • Dental and vision insurance coverage for employees and dependents.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Generous paid time off, including 20 days annually and 10 company holidays.
  • Paid parental leave (16 weeks for birthing parents, 12 weeks for non-birthing parents).
  • Remote-first flexibility across the United States with optional office and co-working opportunities.
  • Regular company-wide offsites and team gatherings to strengthen collaboration and culture.
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of clean energy finance and capital markets innovation.
