Function of Position:
The Part-Time Hourly Professional - Public Safety Training Facility Program Support is an administrative support position and a member of the Public Safety program administration and development team of the Public Safety Training Facility. As a part of this team, this role assists with the development, planning, and administration of credit and noncredit courses for all programs. This role functions independently as a member of a multidisciplinary team dealing with public safety training and education issues. The main areas of responsibility will include academic and instructional support, contract administration, and administrative analysis and support responsibilities. Assignments of tasks will be in Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, and EMS programs.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and manage course sections in related college systems.
- Manage admissions, enrollment, registration, and student support processes for Public Safety programs.
- Maintain program records in compliance with accreditation standards, MCC policies, and applicable New York State regulatory requirements.
- Process and track required state documentation, certification paperwork, clinical clearances, and related compliance materials.
- Generate and analyze reports using institutional systems to support program operations and reporting requirements.
- Provide operational and administrative support to faculty, including examination coordination and instructional materials support.
- Deliver strong customer service to students, faculty, and agency partners to ensure an effective end-to-end program experience.
- Serve as cross-program support to ensure operational continuity across Public Safety Training programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Assist with the administration of New York State practical skills examinations
- Assist PSTF management team with course materials
- Support special events, testing sessions, and program initiatives

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks requiring close attention to detail
- Must demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Must have an understanding of public safety disciplines and their operations
- Must be organized and proactive with the ability to efficiently plan, organize and coordinate a variety of activities
- Must have demonstrated competence working with diverse communities
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to build positive relationships with people from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Must have ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
- Must have a history of solving problems in performing administrative support
- Ability to apply Microsoft Office Suite to general administration, problem solving, and information management tasks
- Must be able to work flexible work hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OGS and GSA purchasing
- Experience in a training/education environment
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Salary: $30/hour.
Approximate hours: 10-20 hours/week
Position available to start July 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026.

This position involves primarily sedentary work, including prolonged periods of computer use and keyboarding. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. The position may involve occasionally lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds. Work is performed in a typical office environment with no adverse conditions. Occasional travel between campus buildings or to other local or out-of-town locations for meetings or conferences may be required.
