Automotive Sales Consultant
Salary Range/Earning Potential: $75,000–$150,000+ annually based on individual sales performance

- Welcome and build rapport with potential clients in the showroom, by phone, email, and SMS messaging.
- Complete a thoughtful wants-and-needs analysis to help clients identify the vehicle that best fits their lifestyle, budget, and preferences.
- Conduct test drives, demonstrate vehicle features, and use the walk-around process to educate clients with confidence.
- Create vehicle presentation videos and communicate product value in a clear, engaging way.
- Prepare complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and Sales Management throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with teammates and Sales Managers to achieve individual and department performance goals.
- Provide a seamless purchase experience that supports long-term customer satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
- Maintain an organized customer database and follow up consistently with prospects, current clients, and past customers.
- Prior sales experience is preferred; customer service, hospitality, retail, or other client-facing experience is also valuable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build trust, listen carefully, and respond professionally to client needs.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn vehicle features, dealership processes, technology tools, and effective sales techniques.
- Strong work ethic and a team-focused attitude.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and working at a computer.
- Ability to drive vehicles for appraisals and test drives.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks in a dealership sales environment.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
