Accountabilities:

The Mechanical Flush Engineer - Fluid Solutions will provide engineering support for multiple business operations by designing safe, effective, and technically sound solutions that meet customer and industry requirements.

  • Evaluate project conditions and develop safe, efficient, and structurally reliable engineering designs tailored to customer needs.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and site-specific plans while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Provide professional engineering documentation, including signed and sealed designs where required.
  • Review technical requirements and support sales teams with engineering expertise during customer proposals and solution development.
  • Estimate project costs and prepare accurate technical proposals for customers.
  • Ensure all engineering plans meet applicable design codes, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain professional credentials and support licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, recommendations, and support throughout project execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete additional engineering responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a licensed engineering professional with strong experience in structural or geotechnical environments and the ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions independently.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural, civil engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation required.
  • 5–10 years of experience as a licensed engineer in a structural or geotechnical engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering analysis, design principles, and applicable industry standards.
  • Familiarity with AISC ASD or LRFD methodologies.
  • Understanding of soil properties, testing procedures, and interpretation of geotechnical information.
  • Proficiency with OSHA Excavation Standard 1926 Subpart P and related safety requirements.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Mathcad, Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering documentation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers, sales representatives, and engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and negotiate design solutions.
