Position Details: 90-day Temp to Hire: Full-time Non-exempt
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM EST.

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join our manufacturing team specializing in the production of PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refrigerant filling and leak verification and boxing and labeling units while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble/Disassemble PTAC units using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Install components such as compressors, fans, evaporator coils, motors, and control systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and blueprints.
- Perform basic wiring and tubing connections, including brazing or crimping when required.
- Inspect parts and completed units for defects or quality issues.
- Ensure all work meets established safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to identify and resolve issues.
- Record production data and complete job documentation as required.
- Assist with testing units as needed.
- Assist in material handling related duties.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production floor setting.
- May be exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Prior experience in HVAC or a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC components and basic mechanical and electrical assembly techniques preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
