Radiographer (RAD Tech)

Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery - 6020 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours: PRN (As needed) - Weekdays - Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm
Department highlights:
Here's What You Need
• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire
• Associate's Degree preferred
• 1 year of Rad Tech experience preferred
• C-ARM and surgery experience highly preferred
• GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire Required And
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 Days Required
What You Will Do
• Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exanm
• Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
• Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
• Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS
• Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging
• Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed

Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is an 18-bed physician-owned hospital serving the people of Collin, Dallas, and Denton counties.
