Job Description
Own profitable execution and oversight of all scrap removal projects from off-site by verifying accurate data entry,
matching weight/load tickets to actuals, tracking payments via BOLs in Greenpark, verifying customer remittances are
received and correct, ensuring scrap yard invoices are sent to AR, ordering/coordinating trucks for maximum daily
volume, selling material at top prices, maintaining customer relationships, and driving the team to haul as many full
(non-light) loads per day as possible while ensuring accurate revenue tracking and timely cash collection.
ROLE 1: Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA)
Core Responsibilities:
• Hold daily check-ins with Vendors and review production targets
• Maintain 100% clarity on What success look like for the week
• Hit daily load targets, safety, and BOL accuracy
• Coach performance gaps promptly and build a high-accountability, safety-first, maximum-volume culture
• Build job numbers in Procore and monitor daily job reports
ROLE 2: Data Verification, Ticket Matching, BOL Oversight
Core Responsibilities:
• 100% of load tickets, weights, BOLs, and payments matched/verified with zero revenue discrepancies weekly
• Review and verify all daily load tickets, weights, and material types entered by Foreman
• Cross-check BOLs (brokered and non-brokered) entered in Re-Spark against site tickets
• audit real-time data entry from the job site (weights, material, truck info, BOLs)
• Compare scale tickets, load photos, and BOLs to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies same day
ROLE 3: Truck Ordering & Hauling Logistics Coordination
Core Responsibilities:
• Order and confirm 10+ truckloads per project per week with on-time arrivals
• Zero hauling downtime due to lack of trucks or poor scheduling
• Forecast daily volume with Foreman and order trucks from multiple carriers accordingly
• Determine what needs scrapped vs. sent to the Equipment yard for resale using the paint-dot system (Red =
scrap, Green = send to PDS yard)
• Schedule arrivals to align with load readiness and maximize daily hauls
• Arrange backup trucks and reroute as needed to prevent idle time
• Track truck check-in, loading time, and departure for every load
• Communicate load status and ETA to Foreman and Winch Truck Driver in real time
ROLE 4: Customer Communication, Project Oversight & Continuous Improvement
Core Responsibilities:
• 95%+ customer satisfaction
• Conduct end-of-project review and obtain final sign-off
• Serve as primary off-site contact for customers and general contractors
• Provide regular updates on volume removed, timeline.
• Handle questions, concerns, change orders, and site access coordination
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in scrap removal, demolition, materials handling, or heavy logistics operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or coordination role overseeing field teams, vendors, or multi-site projects.
- Proven track record of maximizing daily haul volume, improving load efficiency, and delivering consistent, profitable results across multiple scrap or material-removal projects.
- Strong knowledge of load tickets, BOLs, scale weights, material grading, truck scheduling, and scrap yard operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold vendors and field teams accountable while building a high-accountability, safety-first, maximum-volume culture. Resourceful, proactive, and known for driving results without waiting for direction.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to audit production data, match tickets to actuals, identify discrepancies, and resolve them the same day.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, multi-carrier logistics environment.
- Experience with software navigation, as well as Gmail and Microsoft Office.
