Description:

The Tissue Distribution Technician is responsible for executing the accurate, compliant, and timely distribution of tissue and related products to UTR Group, LLC clients. This role serves as a key point of contact throughout the distribution process, ensuring order accuracy, product traceability, and adherence to applicable regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards. Working within a highly regulated healthcare environment, the Tissue Distribution Technician supports operational excellence through accurate documentation, customer support, and the safe and efficient distribution of tissue products.

Core Responsibilities

  • Fulfill tissue order deliveries and pickups as directed by the Distribution Coordinator on duty.
  • Follow FDA, AATB, OSHA, and UTR guidelines, policies, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records through proper documentation.
  • Provide professional and reliable service to internal and external customers while representing UTR in a positive manner.
  • Keep assigned vehicles and work areas clean, organized, and ready to use.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Experience in inventory management, distribution, logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated or quality-controlled environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software applications.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Consistently follows established safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates care and responsibility in the handling, storage, transportation, and documentation of tissue and related products.
  • Maintains accuracy in documentation, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Responds effectively to changing priorities, schedules, and operational needs.
  • Provides professional and responsive service to customers and stakeholders.
  • Identifies issues, evaluates options, and implements appropriate solutions.
  • Utilizes technology, inventory systems, and business applications effectively to support daily operations.
  • Consistently follows established procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines to maintain the integrity, traceability, and proper handling of tissue and related products.
  • Effectively prioritizes responsibilities, manages delivery schedules, and meets established deadlines and service expectations.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must provide proof of insurability and maintain eligibility to operate company vehicles.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Lift and transport containers weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time.
  • Travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Work in both office and field environments, including hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Handle products stored using dry ice, wet ice, and liquid nitrogen.
  • Work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Maintain visual acuity sufficient to review documentation, labels, inventory records, and system information.
  • Work independently during shifts with limited direct supervision.
